Khalil Motallebzadeh is associate professor at Tabaran Institute of Higher Education, Mashhad, Iran. Formerly, he was an academics at the Islamic Azad University (IAU) of Torbat-e-Heydarieh and Mashhad Branches, Iran. He is a widely published established researcher in teacher education, language testing and e-learning. He has been a visiting scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC) in 2007-2008. He is also an accredited teacher trainer. He represented Iran in Asia TEFL from 2009 to 2020. Currently, he is the certified official translator of Iranian Association of Certified Translators and Interpreters (IACTI) and the professional translator of Australia National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI). He is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Language Testing (IJLT).

Professor Seyyed Mohammad Alavi is a prominent Iranian applied linguist widely recognized in studying, teaching and researching English as a foreign language. He is a full professor of English department at the University of Tehran, Iran. During his professional career in applied linguistics, language teaching, language testing and assessment, he has trained many applied linguists and university lecturers. He has published many books & articles in the international high prestigious journals on the subjects of linguistics and language studies.

Advancing Language Pedagogy with Technology

Prof. Carol A. Chapelle - Iowa State University

Professor Carol A. Chapelle is a distinguished professor in English and Applied Linguistics at Iowa State University, where she led creation the MA in TESL/applied linguistics with a specialization in technology for language learning over 25 years ago, and more recently the doctoral program in applied linguistics and technology.  She is developer of the global online course “Using Educational Technology in the English Language Classroom” (2017; with V. Hegelheimer) taken by hundreds of English teachers throughout the world over the past five years. Her well-known books on technology for language learning include Tips for Teaching with CALL (2008, Pearson; with J. Jamieson) and English language learning and technology:  Lectures on applied linguistics in the age of information and communication technology (2003, John Benjamins Publishing).  Her recent books are Validity Argument in Language Testing (Cambridge, 2021; with E. Voss) and The Handbook of Technology and Language Learning and Teaching (Wiley, 2017; with S. Sauro).  She is editor of the Encyclopedia of Applied Linguistics (Wiley, 2013) and co-editor of the Cambridge Applied Linguistics Series. She is past president of the American Association for Applied Linguistics and former co-editor of Language Testing and editor of TESOL Quarterly.  Her awards include the 2012 Cambridge-ILTA Lifetime Achievement Award in Language Testing and the American Association for Applied Linguistics 2015 Distinguished Service and Scholarship Award.

Dr. Minoo Alemi is an Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics at Islamic Azad University, West Tehran Branch, and a research associate at Sharif University of Technology (SUT), Iran. She has also published papers in journals such as the Journal of Intercultural Communication Research, The Asia-Pacific Education Researcher, Language and Intercultural Communication, International Journal of Science and Engineering Ethics, TESL-EJ, TESL Canada Journal, International Journal of Social Robotics, LLT, and two book chapters in the volume Lessons from Good Language Teachers (Cambridge University Press, 2020). She is also the co-editor (with Zia Tajeddin)) of Pragmatics Pedagogy in English as an International Language (Routledge, 2020).
